Super Tuesday Coverage : The Race Heats Up !!

Marvin the Martian has dropped out of the Presidential race - citing problems with his sub-atomic blaster unit, and an urgent need to return to the Mother Ship for long-deferred preventive maintainence.

Asked for a comment, he quipped : "Krod naefull zuik !" (whatever that means.)

Democratic contender, Ms Piggy was sharply critical of her opponent-Daffy Duck - with whom she has been locked in a head-to-head struggle for the last several weeks. " If it looks like a duck,quacks like a duck, and leaves droppings all over the pristine pathways of our parks, it is probably Daffy: trying to steal the critical Duck vote from those who understand Ducks in a way he never will !"

Candidate Daffy responded swiftly : " That wath deth-pig-able !" - to which Ms Piggy shouted : " Hey ! Watch that thtuff, Buthter ! Curses ! You've got me lithping jutht like you !"

Things were equally tense on the Republican side of the aisle.

Rumors-believed to have originated in the Fudd camp-cast doubts on the sexual preferences of Bugs Bunny : this (very possibly photo-shopped ) portrait being offered as evidence.

An anonymous spokesperson drew attention to numerous incidents in which the "rascally rabbit" has adopted roles involving-at the very least- cross dressing, and unspecified inter-species activities of a type usually frowned upon. ( Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

A spokesperson for the Bunny campaign pointed out this candid shot of Fudd, and wondered pointedly if Fudd might be suffering delusions of grandeur - as well as an inability to pronounce the letter "R".

And so it goes- as we head towards the Super Tuesday Primary races !
