In January, 2011, I sold the (Central Jersey) home I had lived in for over 38 years and moved in with my son and his family in a pleasant "South Jersey" town.
Keeping in mind I was raised on a farm, and grew up in a small country town in rural New York, I've missed the "ambience" of country living for a very long time . I've found it here in South Jersey - which is so unlike the rest of the state it has considered secession ; and am comfortable with the feeling I have at last "come home".
From time to time, I stick my camera in the car, and go out for a ride. When possible, I ask permission before photographing private property - but generally, if it's clearly visible from the side of the road, no invasion of privacy is involved.( I try to avoid abusing that concept.)
Sometimes, the image that catches my eye is right at my doorstep.
Other times, I have to travel a bit.
Incidentally, I believe that's an ostrich keeping those goats company !
Yes, there's even a sky-diving school nearby !!
You can see there are enough things around here to capture the eye-so, don't be too surprised if I post a bit of South Jersey here now and again !
